Heres some picture of a few of the rabbit I've taken this fall. These were taken with my Ruger MKI with a tactical solutions pac lite barrel and my Browning Buckmark with a trail lite barrel

These were taken with my 22 mag S&W 648

I took these rabbits with my 45 Para LDA yesteday afternoon

My Buckmark doesn't shoot as good as the Ruger MKI but it's still plenty good for shooting rabbits

Good shooting wyote, I especially like the shots with the 45

Wow...that's unbeliveable!!! I've not seen that many rabbits in PA over the last ten hunting seasons!

You are blessed to have such an opportunity to hunt rabbits in such a manner. It seems that southern New England is devoid of rabbits except in places you can't hunt.

That's awesome wyote,

Those pictures remind me of Bob Milek's articles from years ago. Thanks for sharing.

Funny that you mentioned that Gary. Just across the hiway from one of the spots I hunt is 15 mile. Bob sometimes hunted PD's and rabbits out there. I sure do miss reading his articles on rabbit hunting.

Hey wyote,

Excuss my ignorance but what kind of bunnies are those? They seem much bigger than the eastern cottontails here in PA but their ears seem too short for jackrabbits.

The rabbits have been on a high cycle the last 3 years. (easy hunting) The population is on the down swing now but there is still enough to get a limit in a few hours of hunting.

I mainly hunt with my 22's and 22 mag but I do/have used handguns up to my FA 454!!!! I use my T/C Contender with a 12 inch 22 Hornet barrel for longer range shoots. It's all a blast IMO

These are just the regular ole cottontails. I think there might be some kind of optical illusion going on in the pic's. AND the 45 in the pic is the compact size.

Jacks are quite a bit bigger. These jacks were shot a couple of years ago with my buckmark and sold for taxidermy

Man those are some nice sized cottentails, we don't see very many that big here, unless they mate with a domestic that's gone wild. Great Job! You must have a great way to make bunny stew if you are eating all those. Maybe you should put a recipe in the recipe section?

Not too much to my recipe. My favorite way is to debone the legs and take out the backstraps, flour and fry. Just like eating chicken nuggets.

Also just about any way you can fix chicken I do with rabbit.
