That is great. I have shot some hare and ruffed grouse with my TC in 410. What did you use for a load?

well these are remington 3" with 6 shot.i prefer a shell in 4 shot.my buddy has told me that the 2 1/2 produce a better pattern.we will pattern on paper when the weather gets better. the 7 1/2shot has no power behind it at 20 yards and can't tear through a small patch of weedy cover so i will never get them again.

What length barrel? I have a Super 16 that you are making me think about getting out.

Sure sounds fun. I know NOTHING about using the 410 in the contender. Can you cover just a couple of the basics? What kind of narrel, range, etc...?

Enjoyed it! Looks like you all do well.

well i prefer the 14"barrel.the 10" is fine but is very loud and produces a big muzzle flash.i always just take the wood off and soak gun in a plactic container of kroil when done hunting in rain,it doesnt freeze up and is fine.the contender choke tube must be left IN for shooting the 410 shotshells. killing range with 4 shot or 6 is maximun 30 yards on rabbit/squirrel and rumor has it the 2 1/2"shells produce a tighter pattern at these ranges. 7 1/2shot is usless for hunting, its like throwing sand at them,i prefer the 4 shot myself. one can remove the ventilated rib barrel and place a rail if they would like a scope.i was thinkinbg of doing this with one of them holographic sights and then shot at some clays at a skeet range. the back sight if the barrel is dovetail and the front bead is fixed by a screw type bead,it can be removed and replaced with a fiberoptic kind for easier sighting. it is so much easier to rabbit hunt with both hands free
