Does anyone know why I cannot cock the hammer on my G2 Contender? I am using a 41 magnum barrel, that has been retrofitted by TC Arms to work with the G2 frame. TC Arms offers this service for free. They said I had an older style barrel that needed to have the new silver locking pins installed. I just did get the barrel back today. I still cannot cock the hammer. Very frustrating considering what you pay for the frame and barrel on this firearm. I have emailed them again concerning this issue but have not received a reply yet.

the locking lug is not moving far enough back to engage the interlock. The only option is to send the frame and barrel to t/c or you can have a gunsmith or yourself can file down the top of the lugs until it engages. If you have not done this before I would recommend t/c or a gunsmith.

yup the hammer will not cock unless the lug is in back position.

I had same thing happen on optima elite rifle. I had muzzleloader barrel and baught 243 barrel and when installed could not cock hammmer. Called company and they said to push forward on barrel openner while cocking hammer and it worked. Said needed to shoot to break in parts. It worked but how long will take to break in?
