Anyone know where I can find any load data for the 500 S&W using Remington 385gr. CLHP and Alliant 2400 powder? I have a few manuals but none list what I am looking for. My Hornady manual lists 2400 for there 350gr and 500gr XTP bullets. Hodgdon list the 385gr. CLHP with there H110. Can I use the Hornady load and reduce by a % of charge as a starting load? I am new to reloading so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Reducing the Hornady load for the 350's to use with your 385's would be fine. Just BE CAREFUL!!!

What is the starting and max listed load for 2400 and the 350gr slug?

I'd start at 28.5gr and work up from there.

It's up to 19 degrees at 12:30.

Yeah its cold. It was 4 degrees this am when I left. It made up to 19 here also. I think I am just going to load some up and wait for a little warmer day. Do you know if the 2400 powder is sensitive to the temp change?
