the .260 is the .308 case necked down to 6.5mm.

I built one last spring on a Striker action...loads with 129gr SST's shoot .5MOA to 400yds, which is about how far I would hold myself to using it on deer...for now. It's also the long range back up to my 7mm WSM XP-100.

I'm using a 120 gr Nosler BT over H4831 powder. I use winchester 7-08 brass that I've run thru a 260 sizer die.

The whitetail was shot crossing a river at a little less than a 150 yards. The antelope......I can't remember right off the top of my head but I believe it was between 200 to 250 yards. The mulie was right at 294 yards.

I just got a digital camera with a self timer several years ago so I don't have too many pic's but I'll check out the braggin board to see if I can get a folder going.
