This is my son's first handgun kill with his Ruger Charger I got him for Christmas. This is the reason I'm having to doctor up a 30-30 win barrel for next deer season...He's hooked. He killed four squirrels with it this past weekend. 
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

That is awsome! Kids learn so much in the woods. Most of what they learn is not on TV too.

My Dad told me to get all the toys I wanted before I got married. It was VERY good advice. I had quite a collection when before I got married. But I also did well… My wife came with her own rifle, shotgun, and truck! I just consider myself blessed to have enough play toys that my entire family can go play out in the woods. It is a wonderful addiction and curse.

TCMan, I would rather spend 3, 4, $500 on guns, hunting or fishing gear to keep them involved in the outdoors, rather than ??$$ on video games that creates lazy couch potatos. I say, keep your kids hunting and you won't have to hunt your kids.

That is how I was raised. Money was tight growing up, but my Dad always took me out fishing/hunting.
Ps, We took some Christmas presents back this year because of that very same reason Kral. We bought a few fishing goodies for my Son, along with some camo that was on sale. LOL
