There is a Freedom Arms / Gary Reeder revolver in 50AE on auctionarms.com that intrigues me a little. I tried to do some research on the net about the performance/recoil of the 50AE in a revolver, but couldn't find anything. Any one on here have any input? All I could really find was info on the Desert Eagle in that caliber.

It has a rebated case and the rounds must be taper crimped. It headspeces on the front of the case (not a good thing).
There are better rounds on 50 cal to have in a wheel gun

I have a custom BFR 5" in 50 A&E
I love it , the only problem is the tapered crimp .
You have to stand on the die to get to stop jumping crimp .
I load mine about a half an inch long in the wheel gun and is interesting you can put some healthy loads thru it .

Thanks for the replies, guys. That was pretty well what I was suspecting from what little I can find on the net. It is a lovely firearm, but I am of the opinion that a gun is only as good as the fodder going through it. I think I will pass this one on by.

You can get a new BFR in .500 JRH, and it's a thumper........
