Do you sit in one place or move around? What is your favorite squirrel gun and why? Also, how do you carry your squirrel gun?

I usually stand hunt. Sometimes still hunt between several stands where I stop and call. This is what I use. Ruger MKII with 2x Nikon. I'd love to find a S&W 17 to scope up.

I am a walker.I hunt squirrels while scouting for deer spots.I like the little rascals and they are awful tasty with rice and gravy but I never really pursue just them, there are always other factors.Browning lever 22.Don't have a pistol for them yet but i am working on it.

I use my buckmark and walk. i have a belt holster but usually just carry it in my hand..2 clips loaded and a box of 50 in the pocket..open sights=lots of misses especially when running. sometimes just take the dogs for a walk and the gun comes along, of course i see less squirrels though. This year was a light yr didnt get out as much as usual and only a few greys and a few reds

OFten i just take my single six for a walk with a handfull of shells in my pocket. If I am in a spot that squirrels are likely to be I will sit and wait for a while see what comes out.where i live fireing rounds that can travel for a mile or more is not always a safe option so shots with single six are generaly confined to shots on or near the ground where i have a backstop for the bullet. When i realy want to invite some squirrels for lunch i carry my contender with 14 inch 45/410 barrel.the shot from 410 shells doesn't travel more than a few hundred yards a distance i can find a place with no people pets or houses.Useing the same tactics as with the single six i hit about 60% useing 2 1/2 inch shells 70%+ with 3 inch number 6 shot. as i can safely shoot up in the trees with the contender i get almost double the shots with it. i have a much better shot to kill ratio with the 410 it is definately a squirrel killer.
Genesis chapter 1 verse 26
When shooting a single shot their are no warning shots.

I sit and call most of the time but I do move around. I use a smith and wesson 22A open sight, not the greatest gun but it is accurate. Most of the time I use a rifle, calibers vary.
I got just what those zombie's need right here!

I still hunt, looking for cuttings and nests, and listening. I take frequent stands for about 20 minutes each, calling on occasion. Only .22's are legal for squirrels in my state, and I hunt them with a variety of scoped handguns: Contenders, Ruger Mk.II's, a Single-Six, and a pair of FA's. On very rare occasions, I will still use a Mk.II with iron sights, but that's only when I'm out doing something else, and encounter one as a target of opportunity. Where it's legal, a T/C .45-.410 is a bunch of fun early in the season. Mine is 14", but I don't get an opportunity to use it nearly often enough.

Still hunting. Move along slowly until I find a good looking spot and then sit for awhile. I don't have a 22 pistol yet ,but I hope to add a ruger charger to my collection for this fall.

It all depends on the weather, time of year and my mood at the time. Usally is early season, when foliage is still on trees and not much leaf litter on the ground, I like to still hunt. I listen for cutting of acorns or hickory nuts and slip in for the attack. After foliage comes off, it's harder to slip up on a skirrel. He can see you a mile away, this is when I preferr stand hunting. And, I also like hunting with a dog in later winter. My preferred weapon is the T/C 22lr Contender with 14" tube but, I also like hunting with a revolver.

Best advice I can give is, "Take'em hunt'n". Exposure is the best training I've found.
