What have you sold and regret ever selling? Years ago In a moment of weakness(need) I sold a Ruger SBH 10 1/2" I built for my dad. Nothing special just a blue drill and tap job with a cheap scope. He had a stint put in his neck and was scarred to shoot a rifle anymore. He was never able to used it. He passed away 13yrs ago. I miss him and the Ruger. Any one ever see one in eastern NC for sale let me know.

I received a S&W 38 spl M&P as a graduation (high school) from an uncle. While in college, I sold it & bought a 22 revolver. I regret that decision.

I sold a ruger single six convertible 22/22mag with 9 1/2" barrel that I squirrel hunted with for about 12 yrs and killed no telling how many squirrels. I've regreted it every since. I've also sold others I regreted, just not as bad as that one. Since that happened, I've vowed to never sell another handgun.....well, it depends... If it a shooter, I'll never sell it.

There have been many regrets.
The two I regret the most are;
Dan Wesson model 44 DA with 6" barrel(Just to HAVE a Dan Wesson today!)
Winchester Model 94 AE Big Bore in .307 Win.(sure don't make those anymore)

Great Post!!!!!

There are too many to count and mostly TC’s. But no crying over spilt milk… I have replaced all my TC barrels with customs to “make up” for it. One that I REALY regret getting rid of was a S&W 357 trooper. Just miss it.

Sold it 16 years ago to buy my wife engagement ring.

Sold the gun for $900 w/ a Burris scope

Sold my truck for $2850

I was still $250 short but he floated me that for 6 months until I got out of college.

Still married to the old girl so maybe it is not so bad.

Do miss the gun

The truck had 2 dents and needed a water pump. No big deal

a ruger mkII competiton target "slabside" traded away is the worst. there are a few other things came n went, but what replaced them negates the remorse.

Colt Trooper (my 1st high-end gun), the blueing was so rich and deep is was like looking into infinity and the action was smooth as silk.

A real made in Germany Walther PPK with 2 spare factory mags.

Sold a 2 Contender frame and 4 barrels when I gave up shooting silhouettes when I went to college.

Ruger Mark IV with bull barrel.

There is at least 4-6 more, but these still tug at my heart strings the most.
I lost $40,000 in guns and ammo in a house fire in 2006 while my son and I were on a deer hunt, so, I'm still in the the re-build mode.

I haven't yet sold/traded a gun and not sure if I ever could. Every gun I own is special to me in one way or another, especially the guns that were purchased for me by my father. I wouldn't sell or trade those guns for anything.

I have not sold any handguns, not even the junk little Jennings 22 that I use to prop open the safe door. LOL<LOL I'm quite frugal when I buy and what I buy is what I want so it isn't going to be sold.

Now with that being said my frugalness has made me miss out on a few guns I wish I had bought and didn't over $25~50.00 difference.
\:\(

I passed on a DW pistol pack 4 or 5 years ago for $400.00, figured I could get it for $350.00. Now they go for about double that. I also let a mint 41 Redhawk 7 1/2" stainless gun slide for $435.00, thought I might get it for $400.00. In retrospect that $85.00 I was frugal with has come back to haunt me. LOL<LOL

My first TC contender that I ever owned. It came with a custom .223 barrel marked with "clark" in the barrel lug. Not knowing what I had and it being the first pistol that I had shot; I thought all pistols would shoot any type of ammo that you run through it into one hole at 150 yards. I ended up selling the .223 and getting a 6.5JDJ and ultimately ended up selling the entire contender set-up and getting an encore. I have yet to shoot another pistol in any caliber that shot as incredibly well as that .223 "clark".

Lots of regrets, but three come to mind.
#1 S&W 686 Mountain gun
#2 Freedom Arms .454. Sold to an internet friend, and fortunately he sold it back to me for what I sold it to him for.
#3 the four I just sold, 2 being customs, 1 Bowen, and one with Roy Fishpaw custom grips. BUT, I sold them to pay for a 5 day Mountain Lion hunt in Arizona with hounds on horseback. Being a big rider and past hound hunter, this is my dream hunt.

I would have found $85 somewhere...

Back in 95 I sold a Colt Anaconda with a 8" barrel. I paid $325 for it used, if memory serves me right. Always regretted that one but I may be fixing that regret soon with a trade.

Too many, but I too sold a model 57 S&W like new in the presentation case, Remington 700 Classic in 375 H&H. I sold those when I went through my divorce in 98. Since then when I got hurt and the future was real uncertain I sold a bunch of guns I didn't shoot including a model 629 Classic 8 3/8" , at least a dozen Blackhawks including a couple supers, two model 700 LSS's including a 375RUM and a 300RUM (it found a good home though with Dan B.), Ruger #1 in 458 LOTT, S&W 39 Nickel like new in box with all the paperwork, 3 Ruger 77's on in 257 Roberts and two in 243 ( they were going to be my sons guns until they pissed me off), Half a dozen Contenders (G2 and original models) and easily two dozen barrels, model 37 S&W Airweight 38spcl (my wifes gun but didn't like it) Ruger P90 45ACP, S&W 686 357 6", my two X Frames I only regret as they were cool additions to my collection but for the size I'd rather get serious and carry an Encore if I'm going to pack that much weight. I know there are alot more but I can't remember. There is one more that comes to mind and it was the wierdest but it was the first centerfire rifle I ever bought or owned and I bought it myself, it was 7.69 Argentine Mauser that had been sporterized.

Ruger SBH in .41 mag serial numbered 003. I sold it to a hunting buddy for money to put towards a 7mm-08 lone eagle. He still drags the SBH out to flaunt it in deer camp. No matter how many deer i put on the ground with the 7mm-08 i can't seem to get the .41 back in my safe.
