Well guys, this guy has been on my bait twice before, also a yearling and once a sow with 3 cubs. Passed him up both times...hoping he would "grow" a little before i saw him again. The last few times over my bait.....nothing! Last night this guy came back. He came in from my left side and sat down at the bait with his butt towards me. The dry spell the last couple times sitting convinced me that he was gonna' get it this time. Waited about 10 min for more of broadside shot. Thought about slipping one between shoulder blades, but I'm not that familiar with bear anatomy...afraid i might hit too far forward. He was almost out of food when he stood and gave me a slight quartering away shot. Placed a Horn 220 from my 375 JDJ in from behind lungs on his right side. That got his attention!! He was good for only 10 yds after that! Even had time to put my ear plugs in before shooting. I must say that the 373 JDJ speaks with authority No monster (only 184#), but enjoyed the entire season! Cheers, Dave

Congrats Dave!! Nice bear. I'd take it in a heart beat. Lots of dinner there.

Way to go Dave. Congrats on a great hunt. Looks like a keeper to me, but then I have never hunted Bear before.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...all great and wonderful...good for you. Now can I buy my .375JDJ back?!?! Seriously...good job, Dave. All I would have done with that gun is put big holes in PA deer.
