I mounted a bushnell 3200 firefly I had laying around on a 500 Linebaugh I built and it lasted 2 cylinders, the reticle is still in tact but it broke the gas seal and now it's full of moisture. This is a first for me, normally they just go black. I guess when I get around to sending it in we will see how good bushnell's customer service is.

That must be a thumper there Rod. I don't think I've ever heard of one of those 3200's going south due to recoil. What's going to be the next victim (er, I mean, upgrade ;-)

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Same here! Bionic wrists might be mandatory for shooting that gun!

It's a boomer but not as bad as some, the 454 Vaquero was the worst. I finally decided to put a bisley grip on the Vaquero after almost eating it with 335 hard cast handloads in 45 colt. My colt loads are what you might call +p+p that I built for my rifle. I'm building a new 500 that should be interesting and I'll post pics when it's done but it will be different.

Sent in a Bushnell pistol scope I had bought new 20 years back. Told them what happened using a XP 7mm-08....within 3 weeks, returned good as new!
They said "See you in another 20years"!
