I just finished this gun, it's a 4" 500 Linebaugh and too say it's a handfull is an understatement. The gun has a full action job, Weigand front sight, shortened steel ejector housing, rod, and spring and a belt mountain pin which I still need to modify. I can't pull the pin back far enough with the ejector housing in place to remove the cylinder and they do not make the Sheriffs model pin in the oversize dimensions I need so I'm going to modify the one I have but at the present my lathe is down waiting for a part. This gun isn't going to win any sharpshooting events but I'd bet it would stop a grizzly charge.

Have you fired it - and if so, ummm...

Rod, When I shortened my Ruger Super Blackhawk barrel to 4" I had the same problem with the ejector rod and housing and Belt Mountain pin. After shortening the ejector rod as much as needed it doesn't quite shove the cases out far enough that they drop out. And I shortened the "muzzle end" of the BM base pin on the lathe to where I can just get the pin out far enough to clear the cylinder...challenges one would not think about until one does one themselves.

Very nice Rod. I personally would have to tie a brick to the front of it before I tangled with it. Still good work though!
