I began to use that bullet about 1980 as a handgun metallic silhouette bullet, because it was the most accurate in the SBH's I was using. Subsequently, it showed itself to be extremely accurate in every .44 I've tried it in (dozens). I've used it on dozens of head of big game weighing up to about 250 lbs. out of Rugers, Smiths, and FA's, to my complete satisfaction, driven by either 23 or 24 gr. of 296, depending upon the gun.
On buffalo, bison, large bears, elk etc., I use larger calibers than the .44 Mag., but for deer, hogs, mtn. lion and such, that 240 JHC is great.
