Has anybody ever seen this gentleman's work? Anybody even ever hear of him. He is out in Wyoming. This is his website: http://www.ringlercustomleather.com/index.html I have been in contact with him for the past couple weeks asking about a holster for my PC .460. Seems like a great guy. I just wanted to ask here before I dropped the $200-$300. I will try and get a picture up he sent me in a little bit.

I have seen it. Very nice stuff. I haven't been able to buy any yet, due to lack of funds everytime I've had the chance. Hope to get one of his rigs in the future. Just looking at them they seem to be well made and reasonably priced. I didn't realize he had a website. Thanks for posting the link. Now I know where to look next time I have some extra $$.

If I end up going with him, and I'm 99% sure I will be, I'll put some pics up of the holster when it comes.

I have purchased a holster for my Linebaugh Bisley and several cartridge slides. Von's work is very good and he is a top-notch guy to deal with. I recommend his work. Another extremely nice guy to deal with is Rob Leahy who owns Simply Rugged. Rob's holsters and leatherwork are very good as well.

Rob is a gret guy. My dad just had a sourdough holster made by Rob (he got it last week) for his trip to AK to carry his Ruger Alaskan. I haven't seen the holster yet but my dad seems to love it. I talked to Rob and he said he could do a holster for me but for some reason he suggested two other companies (Idaho Leather and Grizzly Tough). He said these other folks would "probably be able to better accomodate you". So I decided to go with Von instead. I don't think I will be sorry at all.

I've known Von for years, and have a pair of custom chinks and a rifle scabbard for a Sharps he made for me. His brother-in-law was my best man at my wedding. Truly a great guy, and he does first class work that is equal to anybody out there.

If it were supposed to be easy, they'd have sent my little sister to do it.

I've got a couple of his combos. They are my favorite holsters for hunting.

Thread resurrection....

I just order a Wyoming Combination Holster for my scoped SBH Bisley Hunter. Any of you guys have any pics of the ones Von has made for you?

On another note. Ya, Simply Rugged holsters are nice. I have a pancake holster for my 4" Redhawk. It's perfect. I contacted Rob about making a holster for a scoped rig and he doesn't do them. Anyway, I heard about Vons combo rig from a guy at a gunshow a couple weeks ago. Contacted Von and he got right back to me. We've been communicating and i've placed my order.
