I just got done watching Handgun Hunting Down Under with Lynn Thompson; & I must say it was a pretty good video. The first half of the video he shoots a lot of pigs and the second half of it he shoots mainly buffalo. He was using a Ruger Super Redhawk with Hornady 300 gr. XTP hollow points. In my opinion I thought he was a little undergunned using it on buffalo. Some went down with 1 shot but most of them took multiple shots. Maybe he wasn't undergunned But I only hunted whitetail deer with my 629 classic. All in all it was a good video to watch.

I'm glad to hear some good reviews on this DVD. I'm hoping to get it for my birthday.

I am still waiting for my DVD "Handgun Hunting Down Under".
Mike, are you sure that the revolver is a Ruger Super Redhawk? For me it's a Ruger Redhawk 7 1/2".

I went on his website, and it says he uses mainly a ruger redhawk 44 mag. In the short clip that i saw, if you pause it, you can see that it is a redhawk. That youtube video is wild! Smackin those buffalo in the head and they just drop.

Ravenman; I thought to it looked like a Redhawk, but in the video I thought one time he said Super Redhawk. I could be mistaken.

Just finished the video and it was action packed! I thought it was purdy good. It definently shows the capability of a 44 mag in a marksman's hands. All in all, great video...and comes with a free cold steel knife & sheath.

I still miss my "Handgun Hunting Down Under" and "Death Down Under" DVD from Cold Steel.
Got a order confirmation 02/25/09. Later I sent two mails to Cold Steel with the backorder number but did not get an answer. Hope that one day I will receive the DVD's and that the movies are better than their customer service.

Hey Ravenman, It sounds like you might have a problem there. I placed an order for it back in April, after reading this thread. I had the DVD in my mail box within a couple of weeks. Placed my order through their online setup. Hope yours turns up soon.

Got my two DVD's today and two Cold Steel Canadian Belt Knives free! That's customer service. Thank you very much - Cold Steel.
Great knives (as all Cold Steel products) and super DVD's.

Lynn Thompson used a Ruger Redhawk and a Ruger Super Redhawk 44 Magnum in the "Handgun Hunting Down Under" DVD. This is also mentioned on the back of the DVD. Amazing performance of the Hornady 300grs. HP XTP! Great movie and a must have for all 44 Magnum fans.
