I know this belongs in the political forum but I thought it important enough to put here also until it gets moved.

Free is good. And we need all the members we can recruit, to spread the truth. But let us not forget that this war does cost money to wage and I hope that now and again even the free members can find a way to part with a few dollars to keep the wheels turning.

The more the merrier ;-)

I would rather just pay! But I understand what you are saying. What I think they are trying to do is “hope” that the free memberships this year will turn into revenue next year. It is a gamble worth wagering for those who wouldn’t sigh up otherwise…

Exactly.

We need to get the truth out far and wide, but it costs money for magazines and stamps and people to do it. I have a tight budget, but my dues and a 10 now and again are givens.

There was a special on life memberships not long ago and they were selling for $300.00 if I can recall. This is a REAL bargain, folks.

Yes $300.00 is a great deal. I got in at $750.00 life membership, but now it's $1,000.00.

$1,000.00 sounds like alot, but remember a few things. Most of us have spent that much on one handgun, and in some cases even more. The cost of a new FA is 2 life memberships. The other thing to keep in mine is that you can do the EPL (easy pay life). It's only $25.00 every three months. That's $8.33 a month. I have spent that much on lunch at a dinner.

I know at the most part I'm preaching to the chior, but it might give you some good arguments to convince future members to sign up.
