I just ordered a BFR revolver in 454 casull. I wanted to get the Mikita wood grips but they need to be fitted to the gun from the factory for an extra $150. Can anyone tell me where I can get wood grips for this gun? I'm looking to get the kind of grips that are on the Super Blackhawk. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I put a pair of Ruger Gunfighter SBH black grips from Badger Custom Grips on mine. They look and fit great. I thought about making a pair, but my wood-working skills are lacking.

I seem to remember hearing that the BFR and Blackhawk are actually the same grip frame, so the grips should be interchangable. I like the factory grips on my BFR 454.

Super Blackhawk grips can be used on a BFR, not Blackhawk grips. My BFR used to wear the grip panels off my SBH before I replaced them with the grips I listed above.

Thanks guys. I thought I heard some of the members say you could use the grips off the SBH but I wanted to make sure that was correct before I started to look for them.
