I'm looking for input on muzzle brakes. I'm thinking about having a brake installed on one of my barrels (I'm a recoil wimp). Anyone have experience with T/C's muzzle tamer or EABCO's brakes?

The T/C muzzle tamer works very well for controlling muzzle flip. I'am currently working with a Vais muzzle break they are one of the best, i too am a recoil whimp but muzzle breaks do wonders. i even put them on my varmint rifle in 223 and 220 swift. the first thing i do when i buy a rifle or pistol is put a break on it no matter what the caliber.

TC’s break works well on small bullets going at fast vel. On bigger calibers like the 444, 45-70, or even the 375 H&H I would go with another manufacturer.

Ps, I love the TC break on my 270 Win. It recoils like my 22-250!

Ross has the best deal on brakes you will find anywhere. His Holland QD knockoff has gotten rave reviews and where else are you going to get a brake INSTALLED for $75. See this thread:

My hands down favorite is Holland's New Radial muzzle brake.
I now have four of them.
243 Win, 6.5-284, and on two 7mm Dakota barrels.
I use high magnification rifle scopes on all of these specialty handguns.

The T/C break works well for me. I've got it on my .47-70 and 6x55. No complaints.

the only brake I've used besides the factory tc is one I had Gary Reeder install on my 375JDJ and the gun now kicks like a mild 44 revolver.

As wapitirod, I have only had dealings with Gary Reeders brake. I had one installed on my 475 linebaugh and it now feels like shooting a 44 mag.

I ended up going with Ross Schuler for my muzzle brake. He did an AWESOME job. He recieved my barrel on Monday (idaho) and I had it back in my hands (Kentucky) on Wed. I can't wait to get it out to the range. I'll post pics later.....I am working on the forend for it.
