In this month's American Hunter form the NRA, there is an article written by our very own Gary Smith!!

It's an article where he tests the new S&W Model 57 Classic in 41 magnum. Very informative article and Gary did a great job in testing the gun. I was a little disappointed in the performance of the gun, but it could have been the trigger quality Gary mentioned that held it back. At 25 yds w/a Leupy 2x, 2 factory loads did 2.25" and another just under 3". Not bad, it's just I would expect a little better with a 2x scope.

Anyways, awesome article Gary. You did a great job like always. Keep it up and I hope this leads to bigger and better things. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Thanks - Those groups were at 50 yards. Did the article say 25 yards? My bad - I forgot to include the distance in the chart so they assumed 25 yards.

Well that's a different animal. Those kind of groups @ 50 is very good. I just went back to check and it does indeed say 25 yds under the chart. Although I just noticed it also says they were 5 shot groups which would make the group sizes even sweeter. Very impressive article in all. Congrats again and I hope to see many more.

BTW, feel free to send that 57 over here to MD and I'll be glad to wring it out some more.....

Gary, just finished article. Thumbs up! You did state 50 yards in the write up, but they posted 25 yards under the group chart. Congratulations on your article, but I think you were already "Big Time". In my opinion, your HH magazine's are the best there is.
