Is anyone shooting a magnaported barrel and the fiber optic front sight? I'm curious if the porting melts the fiber.

I have a solid barrel on my 44 with a F.O.front sight but thats a good point you make about the porting.

I was going to try one, Gary. Until you told about the fiber coming out of yours. Now I'm a little hesitant about it, especially since mine is ported.

I think I've seen one, Gary, but it's not mine. Call Bob Baker and discuss it with him, would be my suggestion.

May want to consider a section of SS wire with a turidum insert.
Should be very good in low light

If it jams force it! If it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

Don't get me wrong, I love the fiber optic sight. On the one that came out I called and they sent me some new fiber. I'll never use a non-fiber front for big game again.

I wouldn't think it would melt. The ports seem to be angled away sightly from the front sight. Could be wrong though.

I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a handgun today.
