I went back to the river fields today and got two more charlies. This one was at 124 yards and the second was at 76 yards. Both were very big. The 243 Striker is 23" from the back of the scope to the muzzle of the barrel. It's 10" from the bottom of the grip to the top of the turret cover. That gives you an idea of how big they were. It looks like a big target all laid out but the alfalfa is over a foot deep and all I had to shoot at was thier heads when they would look up from feeding. I didn't take a picture of the other chuck, lets just say he was headless.

A couple weeks ago my boy and I were hunting the river fields and I spotted a big one down the field aways. I left the boy and all the gear there at the vantage point we had set up and stalked down the hedgerow to get to a little rise for a clear shot. I took him at 101 yards and he was 1/3 again bigger than this one. A true monster. I should have gotten a picture but the camera was back at our snipers nest. I'm thinking he was the grandaddy to all the ones I have taken this year.
