anyone have experience with loading 308 using tac powder with 150gr. barnes triple shock bullets. I just ordered some 150 tipped triple shock and know that tac powder is similar to bl-c-2 and h4895 but would like to try the tac powder. Any help is greatly appreciated James
I've used TAC in 223 with heavy bullets and 308 with the 155 Palma bullet. It is temp stable and seems to be pretty consistent. That's about all I can tell you since that was all in rifles.

I picked up 4#'s at a close out sale 2yrs ago and have gone through all but 1 1/2#'s of it. used it in various calibers, except the .308 (sorry) and found it to meter easy, burns consistantly, and not be to temperature sensitive. Try it and see.
It's not the gun, but the man behind it.

I have gone through 2 #8 jugs in 308 and 223. I have had great results with 175s and 178s. Never used it for anything smaller. My loads are about 1 gr hotter than Ramshot's site published data w/o any pressure signs. Meters like water!!!
