Yesterday I picked up some new toys. A older fellow I bought my SSK 375 from decided to clean house some more. I ended up with three more SSK barrels. Two of them are .358 JDJ I really did not need any of this stuff but now I have it. The barrels are throated differently and that is why there are two.

I also got a 2X6 Bushnell Elite and about 1500 bullets in 7mm and .358 and 200 fireformed 7mm TCU brass. There was over 150 loaded 358 JDJs. He gave me some misc. parts like springs and a stock set.
He also gave me his hand written notes and load data for the barrels.

The stainless barrel is an SSK in 45-70.

The best part was the story that he told about each item.
We spent the day looking at all his guns (hundreds) and trading stories (I was no match for a 70 year old man).

I gave 555.00 for all this.

What a day

I don't know why the photo is blurry. It looked good on my computer until I posted it.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

I took a moose on a fly - in hunt in AK with mine. Use squib loads with Kapox using cheap handgun bullets and shoot a bear that afternoon. Great caliber, very underrated.
