Dang I sure wish H%R 1871 would come out with a break action single shot Handgun Hunter so I could use this awesome caliber. What a sweet shooter it is, in my new little single shot.

What say you all?

Yep, something along this Savage Striker would be nice, or one from the MOA Corp.

The 7-08 is good round. I have an Encore barrel and a striker in that flavor.

Well I seen the one listed here in the classifieds, and I got to wait a bit to afford something that nice
But someday, it will happen.

I've got a 308 in a Striker and it shoots 1/2" groups at 100 yards and I love the left hand bolt throw too.

Can't believe how accurate those Strikers r. Here's my buddies 22-250 and a 425-yd. 3-shot 2.5" group i shot with this rig perfectly cloverleafed dead on the nose for the ballistics profile--

I have a NEF rifle in 7-08....very nice package. Dad prefers it over my Model 7 7-08. As for handguns, I built a Shilen barreled 7-08 on a Striker action...it shot very well. A fellow member here has it now.

The 7-08 and 120gr Barnes TSXs have put to rest many deer by me here in MS. Actually it gets the nod over the 308 as far as a hunting round. VERY easy to load for and mild to shoot.

My first XP was in 7-08.
I really enjoyed it.

Here is my current 7mm-08 topped with a Nikon Prostaff 3x9x40mm with BDC redical. But as you can see I think H&R Handi Rifles are missing the boat for a very popular part of shooting by not providing a single shot pistol to the line up.

Love my Kimber rifle in that cal, and getting primed to "break-in" the new-to-me 15 inch Encore soon!

Like the 08...
