They have taken care of three items for me, my rangefinding binos I broke an ocular lens out of and they replaced the entire unit and I had the new unit in a under a week. The next was a 3-9 VXII from the 70's that was getting kind of loose and they totally rebuilt it and that took two weeks and my 2X EER that the ocular lens blew out of from my 475 I had back in 4 days but this is the busiest time of year for them with hunting seasons starting and everyone wanting their scopes back right now but I wouldn't think it should be much longer. I just ran into the same thing with Marlin, they had my gun for 7 weeks because they were slammed. Leupold will generally send you an email or post card with expected turn around time, if they didn't just give them a call and they'll tell you the status and eta.

They are definitely backed up. They have had my M8-2X EER for 3 weeks already.

Got mine back today. Took about 3 weeks but considering that Burris had one of my other ones for 7 weeks I consider myself lucky.

As you now know you don't have to pay for an upgrade but I have never heard of them charging for anything. I told them I broke my Rangefinder and that my 2X had launched off my 475 twice due to bolts shearing on the mount and that my old worn out 3-9 had been loaned out and I believed it to have been dropped and they fixed all 3 without a question. My times may have been a little faster also because I live about an hour and a half from them but I think if it weren't for the time of the year you both would probably have had a week off your turn around time. As far as I'm concerned they have the best customer service in the business.
