Got my new "Thumper" today. It is an Encore with a MGM barrel chambered for 50 Alaskan. The barrel is 16 3/8" long and has a 6 screw steel MGM mount on it. It sports an integral brake, Stratton 3 screw hangar bar and Georgia Jim wood. Topped off with a Leupold M8-2X.

Nice rig!! Major thump!! I shot a 50AK Encore pistol with about the same barrel length and a break. That baby could throw some serious lead.

The pin only lasted 2 shots form the 50AK. Usually a pin will soak up some lead before coming unglued. Maybe the 50AK was a little unfair. LOL

I would guess the dinosaur population is getting out of control in your neck of the woods. I hear the volcanic eruptions can release a few traped critters from time to time. Go thump them.

Usually just hogs. I built it primarily because I like big bores and I promised the guys at the silly wettt range that I would kill some of their targets (LOL).
