So far I've run a couple mag fulls through the Charger and the trigger is about the only thing that I would change so far. And since these things are just a 10/22 w/ a shorter tube and pistol stock...I'm interested in info on aftermarket triggers. What are you guys using...make, models, etc??

Also...mags. I've had a couple jams. Do aftermarket mags make much of a difference??

Any 10/22 action tips are also appreciated!! Thanks.

I've been using CCI Velocitors in my 10/22 with great results.
I picked-up alot of "hot rodding"tricks/tips on rimfirecentral.com The folks there are very helpful, friendly and informative. I learned of bolt mods-rounding of the rear(hammer contact point) for better/smoother cycling, use of better extractor claw, recoil buffer usage, trigger mods.- overtravel stop, spring weight mods(lok for the "clickster" pencil spring mod) etc... sear work, mag feeding mods.Money limitations(HEE-HEE) etc.... A whole lot of very good stuff there. I did all my own mods.as I am very inquisitive when it comes to the internal workings of stuff and can't leave well enough alone. My factory barrel 10/22 shoots 1/2"MOA groups at 50yds. any time I wanna bear down--check them out,I'm sure You'll like it. Shane
p.s. You'll drive yourself nuts searching all the posts but it's all there-plan on stayin' awhile. Oh-BTW Volquartsen makes a "wicked cool" trigger group but it's "Salty".If you're comfortable with it,try the inexpensive "mods" first. Ya can P.M. me for some addt'l info as exact posting of "mod"instructions by myself prolly isn't legal as I'm not a "gunsmith"

Dan B., my son's magazine had the same problem when it was new. It would miss feed about twice each full magazine load. I was gonna send it back to ruger, but never did. It was open season at the time and he was ready to put it to use. For a temporary fix, I oiled the magazine with some light oil and blew it out real good. After 1000 rounds through it there's been no more malfunctions. I think the rotary feeder must have had a small burr on it.

It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

I've had great luck with Butler Creek magazines in mine-they were a definite improvement over the factory mags.

If yer gonna use anything but factory mags use the "Steel-lips" mags-they are a bit more $$ but if ya want more capacity-they're the way to go. I use mostly factory mags.but "modded" them as I found on Rimfirecentral.com They feed really well after ya adjust the spring. Just my 2c Shane
