I did a really quick write up with some pics and stuck them on the bragging board. I'll do a tech article but wanted to show you guys what can be done while waiting for supper to cook!

Total fab and assembly time (including pics) took about 20 minutes. There already exists a part that solves the problems associated with the Harris Swivel Bipods...I think it's called a "Pod Loc" but I made this from stuff that was laying on the workbench and did not have to wait for the mailman.....and I bet mine works as well as the ones that cost money!

But that takes the "homemade" feel away from it!! I'll find something to either replace the bolt that looks nicer or something to cover the threads with.

Another option. Cheaper than Pod-lock but cost more than free off the work bench.

Dumb question, but what does a pod loc do? I have a couple Harris bipods on my varmint guns and everything seems good. What am I missing?

Are yours the swivel models?? If so, the tensioning knobs is hard to grab firm enough to really tighten it. The Pod Loc or variation thereof allows the shooter to level the gun then tighten the knob to eliminate any rotation when fired.
