Thank you Fellas! RUG 1, I am not a sheep study however I have also seen bands of Rams only and of Ewes and Lambs only. Maybe someone else here that knows sheep better can answer that.
Later in the week that I shot this video, I talked to a Colorado Division of Wildlife Researcher accompanied by a CDOW staff verterinarian, and they told me that they were doing a study in this area on Lamb mortality; that there was an unusually low percentage of Lamb survival here and they were going to dart a Ewe and get some samples of her blood, a throat saliva culture, and other data and then put a radio collar on her. They invited Joe and I to accompany them and I got most of THAT on video also, (pretty amazing stuff, what they do to the animal while it is "out"; they even were giving her oxygen during the whole procedure which lasted some 15 minutes or longer) which I promised them a copy when I get it edited and put together. I don't know that I will put that on youtube but may offer it on my website:
http://www.hunterseyevideo.com at some point.
I have an outfitter friend who runs lion hunts in this exact area and this year he has already TREED 4 DIFFERENT females and he believes that there is an over-population of lions which could be a factor in Lamb mortality. I mentioned this to the CDOW guys and they made a note of it.
