Looks like Federal Ammo is loading a Swift A-Frame 210gr. in there 41 mag. ammo. Hope Swift will start selling that bullet.Just wish it was a 240 gr.

Curious about your 41. Mine (my father's really I just steal it) won't take a 250 class bullet for anything. They tumble & I get oblong holes w/10+" groups at 50 yards. I've been told it's the twist & that makes sense.

My Freedom Arms has 1-14 twist so really likes 240-265gr.Swift is the first to make a heavy jacketed 41 bullet.Just wish the bullet was heavy. You can fly them fast in a FA!!

I'm shooting 265gr cast in my 4.5" Blackhawk with good results. Haven't actually checked 50 yds as I just have it set up for bear protection right now. At 25 yds it does fine.

Got me boggled then. Mine is a 4 5/8" Blackhawk as well. 25 yards was OK. Just OK. 50 was deplorable. Lighter stuff is fine though. It's also a 3 screw & maybe there was a difference then. The bullets were 250 CPBs. That kind of accuracy at 50 yards is just not good enough. I don't like hollow points for hunting. The A-Frame would be nice if we could get them.

I had a .41 Redhawk that seemingly hated cast bullets. It especially hated heavy bullets of any weight or design. I tried them all. I recut the forcing cone & recrowned it, no change. It only liked one load, period. Hornady 210 gr XTPs & a max load of XMP5744 of all the powders to like. THAT was the magic load. I finally traded it off.

Sound similar. I tried the 265's Vance metioned too. Same as the 250's. What I haven't tried is a lighter cast. 210-230ish maybe. FA's I guess don't have these problems. Bisley, do you have a Bisley 41 by any chance?
