lordy its cold here this morning.. I was stokin up the stove in my shop and putterin around waitin fot the heat to sink in I opened up a box of receipts and pulled out the receipt for my second (back-up) contender- in 7TCU 109 dollars complete- 1981- boy do i feel ancient!

Yeah I am ancient too! My first was a 10" TC framed 30 Herrett bull barrel complete with 2x Leupold for $200 out the door with dies and brass. I still have the frame but don't use it much. It is not an easy open frame and only works well with the old style barrel lugs.

Yup, all gun prices have gone way up. I bought my DW in 357 Max in 1991 for $439.00. The last ones from Norwich sold for $999.00 in 2005. The used ones on GB are close to that now.
