Be sure to post some pics, good hunting!

It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

I never meant to cause a rant and have no hard feelings. It was just a statement of what the law calls a minimum for elk in my area. I use much more gun for elk myself being a 500 smith fan. I choose big bores for hunting and never push 100 yards. Another hunter may choose a 243. Its not for me to tell him that hes under gunned. It sounds like you have seen some horrors in the hunting world dealing with caliber selection, which is to bad. nobody wants to see an animal wasted. I think Ive drifted a bit so thanks for the rant room and i hope theirs no more ruffled feathers by my doin.

has anyone taken an elk with a 243 ?

Love me or hate me. Either way your thinkin about me.
