I was reading an old Handgun Hunting Book when I ran across a paragraph on the .338 Woodsman. Does anyone have any experience with this round? I've got 3 unopened boxes of Hornady #3315 F.P. I bought for my 338 marlin, then sold the gun. What do you think? Is this a good excuse to buy my first contender/ encore?

Do you mean the .338 Woodswalker? It was developed by J.D. Jones of SSK. It's a wildcat on the 8.15 x 46R, an old German Shuetzen cartridge case, which can sometimes be hard to find.
I have one, a 10" barrel, and like it. Mine runs a 200 @1850 fps or a 180 @ 1900 fps. If you don't have a use for the .338 FN's, I'd be interested in buying them.

500WE,
Woodswalker, ... thats what I meant to say:) I probally won't mess with tracking down an oddball German case. If you have any Nosler Partitions in 44 or 45 cal? Maybe we can work something out?

Sorry, I don't have any .44 or .45 Nos. Parts. It would have to be a cash sale.
