I completed my quest for a Safari Slam of the exotics this year. All with a handgun of course. A Safari Slam consists of any 16 species of exotics recognized by Records of Exotics that meet or exceed the minimum score to make the ROE record book. Here is a list of the animals I have taken to complete my slam. Merino ram, Four Horn ram, Painted Desert ram, Russian Wild boar, Feral Wild boar, Texas Dall ram, Spotted Fallow deer, Catalina goat, Corsican ram, Hawaiian Black ram, Pure Mouflon, Yak, Nilgai antelope, Blackbuck antelope, Indian Water buffalo, and a Mouflon type ram. I started my quest for this slam in 1996. All of my hunts were lots of fun. If any of you are interested in hunting the exotics - give them a try. Here is how these animals scored - 9 gold medal, 5 silver medal, 2 bronze medal.

Congrats, David! That's extremely COOL! I would love to do that with North American big game, but it's just a dream....

It's not the gun, but the man behind it.

Which animal did you seal the deal with?

Maybe an Aoudad, a Tahr, or an Oryx. James you are the Exotic Icon-maybe your Safari Slam will be next.
