Nice rig, the 35s don't seem to get the respect they deserve! Got an XP100R in 350 Rem Mag ( Remington had a limited run some years ago ), ballistic are about the same as the 35 Whelen.

Please post your range reports on velocity and accuracy, when you do them? Load data wouldn't hurt anything either?

XP,

I might be wrong, but that doesn't look like an "XP." Just kidding, nice piece. I have an XP100R in 350 Rem Mag. It was a very limited run, many years ago. Ballistically, it is the same as the Whelen. My Xp does not have a brake ( yet ) and I have difficulty getting through a box of 20 rounds at the range. It is a "beast" with jacketed loads, a "pussycat" with cast loads.

I have a .35 Whelen in a 7.5 Lb sporter; shooting 225 gr bullets in front of a gob of Reloader 15 it is lets say uncomefortable. I can't imagine what that would be like in an unported 15 inch handgun barrel. That should be interesting to say the leaset.

That is one sexy setup, my god I think I need to build one of them my self.

Yeah a break is kind of mandatory for it, I too have one of the XP100R's in 350 rem mag and To say that the 35whelen is a thumper is an understatement, My rifle in 35whelen kicks the snot out of me.
A pistol in this caliber is going to cause some serious wrist problems, but Damn it is sexy and now I want one....
