After looking through the custom revolvers thread and seeing the works of art there...its time for mine. I'll never have enough money to get a custom gun so I thought I'd try my hand at working my own gun. I'm not a complete idiot when it comes to working on guns...notice I used the word complete!!! I want to refinish my Blued Blackhawk in Plum Brown. Has anybody done this? Did you do it yourself or did you send it to somebody. If you sent it out....to who??? I've done a couple of muzzleloaders and my Marlin 30-30 in brown finish and I like it. I just want to have something different than the regular blued finish. Inputs???
I don't harvest animals, I kill them...I don't take a Combine hunting!!!

I'm converting a G2 muzzleloader to look like the old school ML's. Going to strip the factory finish and than brown it, haven't settled on what brown I'll use yet but it's going to be a few coats on a case colored frame and converted butt plate, brass LOL ya I'm loopy...

If you're going to do a step by step thing with pics add it as an article... you can updated it as you progress.

Almost ready to start ordering the parts, just a bit slow on the razor and coin sales... Once I get the parts all together I'll start the pics.
It's going to be the rifle set up, thought that would be out of place here :p If you all want to see it I'll gladly post it here
