I have snapped the hammer spur on my encore. I can't get one in England. Can any one direct me to a supplier that has one in stock. I have been told that T/C will not supply this as an after market part and require the frame to be returned to the factory. However this is not possible being in England.
Any help greatly appreciated

Scotch,
Is it the Pro-Hunter with the extension or the standard hammer? Do you live in England or Scotland. I am planning a trip to Scotland with my family to visit relatives.

Doc,
I live in Derbyshire, England. The name Scotch refers to my nick name due to my ginger hair.
My hammer is the standard encore. I will never use a hammer extension again!

What snapped the first hammer spur? If you are using a hammer extension, they recommend aluminum over steel, and change the hammer spring to a lighter one while changing the hammer. Good luck to you.

The hammer spur cracked and then came off on firing. I had bought the encore second hand as they are like rocking horse poop on this side of the pond. Its a .243 rifle as we are not allowed pistols any more wink wink.... I will take your advice and do some custom work when I have the frame apart. I much say however the trigger is very crisp and has never been worked.
Many thanks
