Well I guess I am the only hunter here in Illinois that hunts with a handgun. Was I wrong for asking such a question? Please help me out here I was jsut looking for a club, some guys/gals that love to shoot handgun, etc. I thought we were all to stick together, another reason I joined this web page, and the NRA.
Another reason was to try and get some locals on a hunt out west for Elk, Mulies, Antelope, etc. No other reason.

I live quite aways from you too. What about looking for an NRA match near you. Another place to look is the IHMSA web-site and see if there are any matches close by. Here is the state directors contact info.

Illinois, Dale Kroetz, (618) 244-4438 kroetz@mvn.net

Attend a few matches and see if the guys also like to hunt. I know alot do hunt, and all the IHMSA guys are very willing to help.

Yes, they are Georgia Jim's. The grip has a thumb rest and is called the Jimbo style.

Is it pretty comfortable?? I was thinking of getting a set for my 460, I just do not know hoe it will feel. I have soke with him on the phone, a very nice guy and seems to be easy to work with.
Thanks again.

I admired Tig's grips so much I ordered a set myself!! They are Ole Georgia Jim’s. He can be reached over on the specialty pistols website

As far as recoil I can't say much as that has been on the stainless frame and all that I have shot so far is the BEE. They do fill the hand well and are very comfortable. I got mine unfinished and did a little sanding to fit my hand. I think that helps tame the recoil it transfers the energy more equally to your hand. I then used semi gloss urathane and finished them. After shooting with them for a few years now I knid of think I'll slim down the trigger finger area just a little more. That's the nice thing about the urathane finish, just sand and modify then coat it a few more times and it looks new again.

Great looking handgun there TCMan. Are they comfortable? In a 460 with 18" barrel I hope they are.
Thanks
