I bought a 223 Bergara, Encore barrel from Natchez ($166.85) last year
I havn't shot it much, but I think its going to be a keeper the only load I've,tried shot .545 at 100 yards. The one thing I don't like about this barrel is its chambered in 223. Don't guess I should gripe about that I'm the one that ordered it. THE price was right & I
had a ton of 223 brass & bullets.

If you go to Mike Bellms website he is really big into them now and has alot of good stuff to say about them. Mike is another really nice guy that is easy to talk to and has alot of experience and information he's willing to share.

That's why Bellm is into them so much, he says they are very accurate barrels.

Years ago I used two of their bbls on rifle projects. I'm pretty sure it was the same company. I used a .338 and a .308 blank, they did just fine and were just as accurate as the Douglas bbls I had been using.

I've got a 270 Begera tube and it is a shooter!!! I plan on picking up a 7-08 when natchez gets them back in stock, chucking it up in the lathe, dropping it to 15" and finishing it with a nice target crown.

Like I was saying in my earlier post you might check with Mike Bellm as he is dealing in bergera now, He may even have one already cut to length. If your not familiar with Mike he is a top notch T/C guy but hasn't got the noteriety of J.D. Jones. I buy oversized hinge pins for Contenders and Encores I work on as well as springs as well as special tools and manuals.
Anyways just a thought if you don't want to wait for Natchez.

in case you haven't been to his site yet here is the link to what Mike Bellm calls the Bergera Barrel Accuracy Gallery, this may answer alot of your questions if you haven't looked at it yet.
