So I went and picked up this most lovely gun I had been talking about all week.

Boy is it one nice handgun-not as heavy as i expected. It came with a bunch of ammo-mostly corbon so I fired off about 6 rounds-What a shooter-like holding on to a cannon!! I was instantly in love. I even shot one of gramps reloads (535 gr ranger rick bullet) wasn't bad at all.
Heres a nice posed pic

I didnt shoot that deer - a friend did, but I use dermestid beetles to clean skulls for people so that is one I cleaned and whitened. Those beetles sure do a nice job!!

AND... It even came with some WEREWOLF ammo!!!

I can't wait to get this lovely gun all Bl**died up!!

Sweet.

Range report and target pics due in short order.

Way COOL! I know how loud my long one is; this Bad boy will be loud for anyone standing beside it. The range shooters usually wiat until I empty a cylinder before they try to hold on a target when they are shooting--mostly because of the dust that comes down from the rafters due to concussion! Good luck!

Very Nice!!

I have used ants to clean skulls before, but not beetles.

Ya dermestid beetles, its how the pros do it. They do a wonderful job and work fast. Ive had them eat an entire rat guts and all less than 8 hrs when they are really going good. Its pretty neat

How long is the cylinder? I always hear that the BFR 500 S&W Magnum cylinder is WAY too long, and I am curious about the length of a standard 500 S&W Mag cylinder.

Good looking gun, I like short barreled big bores which is why I built my 3.5" barreled Blackhawk in 500 Linebaugh. I'm sure you'll find at the range it's an attention getter when it goes off, they were telling me I was getting about 18" of flame and I'm sure yours will do the same and wake up all the long gun afficianado's that doubt the power of a short barrel.

I belong to a private gun club (basically our hunting land) and we have our own range so i mostly shoot alone. I cant wait to pull that baby out for deer season this year though. they all think I'm crazy with the 500sw 15" encore...and when they see those bulllets, oh boy!! I cant wait to get some paper shooting in just to see how far I can shoot it. Gramps is looking for a mold too so we can start casting for it....not sure what thoughts are on the "ideal cast bullet weight" for these.
