Here is my new varmit hunting rig. 14 inch 204 ruger barrel. With my handloads it shoots ten shot groups at 100 yards in 1.5 inch groups. That will take care of prairie dogs.

I was going after a bipod but when I stopped at the store they had this marked way down. The guy said that the bipods sell out quickly but they had this tripod for awhile and nobody wanted it. I have not fired it yet with the tripod but just playing with it set up on bags like in the pic it feels very solid. This is for prairie dogs and I can use a table when hunting so it will be fine ( I hope ) plus with this round at 3200 muzzle velocity I am good for 200 to 300 yards and want to be steady.

I got to blood my 14 inch 204 ruger barrel today. I shot this one at 177 yards. I shot another just before this one but it fell into its hole and I could not get a clear picture with my phone.

Yeah I was not ready for it to be so messy when I walked up to look at the dawg. This is my first kill with a handgun and I must say I want more.
