and I'm looking at molds. I see that Midway will sell me a 240gr @ .429 or a 310gr @ .430. Why the difference in the dia? Is that a function of the weight? (I see the dia increases as the weight increases). If not, do you just buy molds of the different dia and see which one your gun likes better?
But then I need a sizer? Do I not trust my mold to make a true .429 or .430 dia bullet? Or is the mold just pretty close to being true?

Send me a PM to get my phone number if you want to talk about casting, it is easier than typing it out. I would also pick up a few books or do some research in the public library to find out more information. Lee stuff is hard to beat at the price for the beginner. Check out http://castboolits.gunloads.com/ also, this is a great resource. Best of luck with your boolits!!!

Cast Boolits, eh? OK, I'll check it out.
I think I understand now the difference between swaging and casting. Makes more sense to me now.
