Hanyone interested in reloading for me?? I have a 460 I will buy everything. I want to stick with 200 grain Barnes DPX, or maybe that is what they call it from Cor Bon. My set up is a T/C Encore with a heavy contour barrel from MGM at 18". I am in Northern Il. if anyone would be interested. Also does anyone know what the rough cost per round would be? I have looked some things up like brass, primers, bullet, etc. The cost is going to be close to what I can buy new!! Help???

If you would be willing to buy everything, why won't you do it yourself? It's not hard. It doesn't take up much space. It can be done quickly and efficiently and you will know it's been done right.

Dan Exactly! Plus, there is a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment that goes with it. Try it, you may like it!

I just might have to go a see someone already reloading. It is just finding time, I am in sales and travel the world, finding time for that is just not that easy, family to me first! I have a 20 month old son, and he is always first. So if not, I will either keep buying it, or find someone to do it. Thanks guys.

I could do it for you,but I'm probably quite a bit south of you.I live in Delavan,Ill. 20 miles south of Pekin, which is around 12 miles or so from Peoria.

Have you checked Cabelas? I bought the bulk (200 rds.) option of Hornady 200 gr. for a decent price. It was backordered but finally got them after a month wait. I,too, have things to do that take precedence over reloading, but I'm sure it is rewarding and fun.

I have checked, and actually the best price for the Hornady is a place called Cheaper Than Dirt, Hornady was $24.00 a box,and the Cor Bon ended up being $66.00 a box. Everyone seems to be out of the Hornady, and I mean everyone, especiaaly if they had a great price. I usually buy 10 boxes at a time. The reason for ALL of this is the Cor Bon is so expensive, BUT hear great things about it. IF I like it, it is not cheap!! BUT for hunting only, which is what I do 99% of the time, it might work. Thanks again to everyone.

Another point, like I mentioed before, when the math is done is there a savings? Where is the best place to purchase reloading stuff? Brass, primers, Barnes bullets, etc.?

In the time it will take you to drop components off, then pick loaded rounds up, you could have done it yourself.

IMHO, the big advantage in reloading is not the $$ savings, even though there are savings after you recoup the investment in equipment. The big advantage is to able to "taylor a load" for you particular gun. I cannot buy the ones that I shoot.
Thus, if you are simply looking at it from a dollar & cents viewpoint and unless you shoot a lot, the reloading savings will not be material. The greater advantage, for me, is to be able to produce a load that I cannot purchase.
It's more important where you hit 'em, than what you hit 'em with.

Yup, that's why I do it. Factory ammo never seems to cut it for me when it comes to accuracy.

Cheaper ammo means more shooting for me! Reloading has so many advantages with not many disadvantages. For me it is the only way to go!

Another point, like I mentioed before, when the math is done is there a savings?...... To answer this question, yes there is savings. Even with today's high prices on components, you can still reload for about 1/3rd (+/-) the cost of average factory ammo and around 1/6th the cost of custom ammo. AND ALL OF IT WILL BE CUSTOM.
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

OK, I am going to look into it. Can I get ideas on some good quality reloading equipment, Lee, RCBS, Hornady? Dies, is there such a thing as better quality? Brass? Primers? Powders?? And as you can see the list goes on. A single stage should suffice. Thanks again for everyones help.

I have dies from all the big names, but the reloading equipment from Lee do a very good job.The turret press from Lee is hard to beat, 70-80 bucks, check Midway or Midsouth shooting supplies.
