I used them in my 454 Ruger--- Not very good results---My buddy shot a 150lb hog at about 40 yards w/ my 454-- went through him like a laser. I could see the bullet pass through with my bio's from about 100 yds away. 2nd bullet same thing. The hog was walking dead --but Mad! From about 95 yds I put a 250 XTP in him (He was moving I shot him in the butt) Down for the count.
Not much on shooting laser bullets---JMHO
If it jams force it! If it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

Hey this might start a riot but, it looks like in this case as in many hunts where the animal is under a 1,000 pounds an expanding bullet just might work better. JMHO

I've not shot any but sounds as though these might make good bear bullets where penetration is needed.

I would love to try some Punch Bullets, but the problem is I don't have any cape buff or elephants handy. That is what these bullets are made for-big, dangerous game, not whitetails or even hogs.

I told John that I have no doubt I could kill an elephant with my .38-40, using one of the 200 grain bullets.

Not much on shooting laser bullets---JMHO especially at 2.50 a piece unless your after elephant as mentioned. I can't see what advantage they'd have over a cast in any situation you'd use one of those calibers. The only thing I can think of is for children or small framed women that want to carry a 357 or 41 in big bear country but the big hard casts from CP will penetrate just fine IMHO. I can't see anyone that would go after truly dangerous game such as in africa with anything less than a 454 and probably more like. .475, .500, & .510.
I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a-hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them. John Wayne-The Shootist

Whatever you think you need to get the job done. I've killed too many deer and smaller game with cast bullets to use an expanding bullet as a crutch.
