This is my Dad & I with the hogs we shot at Wilderness Hunting Lodge. Dad used a RBH & I used a RRH that he bought me when I was around 15. We also used a hand loaded XTP pushed by 23gr. of h110.
I have always loved hunting with my ol man!

This picture shows the exit hole. The hog was quartering toward me that's way the hole is so far back.

I'd rather be lost in the woods with my 41 Mag. Than found at home without it.

That must 've been a blast. Way to go, I smell bacon.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Congrats on your first kill! Those are some awesome swine to boot!

Nice hogs. Hogs are a good place to start blooding your gun.
Now for a whopper White Tail this fall.

Congrats on a very nice boar. My son and I both took Russians up at Wild Hill perserve in Vt. in 2005. Had my S&W Mountain Gun in chest holster but, happened so fast I didn't take time to pull it out. Both Took them with Marlin's in .35Remmy.

Nice pig Steve! How was the hunt at Wild Hill preserve? I see you are from Central Illinois where abouts?
