My buddy TJ and I went on a hog shoot yesterday. We killed these 6 in one afternoon. TJ was shooting his 44 SBH Hunter and I was shooting my FA 44 Magnum. TJ also shot one of the little pigs with his 10mm Glock. Oh and I had shot one in the morning so that was 7 total.

Nice! We need some close-ups of that 44, it's sweet.

WOW stack'em up!!!

I think one of the small ones should be in the roaster by now stuffed with apples, garlic, and all kinds of spices. Turning slowly over a nice low hardwood fire. Man I'm getting hungry.

We just finished processing the meat and I threw one of the little shoulders on the grill for about 90 minutes and it was fantastic. TJ and I both are shooting handloads of max loads of 296 and Remington 240 gr. JHP's. I sort of rediscovered those 44 bullets when I happend to shoot a box of factory Remington's last year and killed a cow elk. The best part is that they are relatively inexpensive at 200 per 1000 for the projectiles.

Nice work, Gary! Congratulations! Hardly anything as fun as a good wack 'n stack! Is that the 240 grain semi-jacketed hollow-point?

We went to a small place about 40 miles N. of Austin. http://www.dbhuntingranch.net They were offering 2 hogs for $100 and they were meat hogs which was perfect because that's what we wanted to shoot.

I have run thru about 1,000 of the Rem 240gr SJHP. In both the 44 mag SRH and the 445 Super Mag barrel I had. Both shot them very well. The 445 was sending them down range at 2,000 fps. I shot them into a melted heavy packed snow bank (almost ice) at 30 yards and they penetrated about 30". The bullet mushroomed well and held together for the most part. Here is what I recovered.

Big holes none of the bullets were recovered from the hogs but here's the one I recovered from the elk last year.

I have seen similar performance from the Rem 210 gr SP 41s in a 41 mag. Hole in one side & big hole out the other. I have been impressed with them.
