I cannot say about that company. I had a 5 shot cylinder (45 Colt) installed in a Ruger Bisley by Phillip & Rogers (Huntsville, Tx) some years ago. As near as I could tell, it was not really "tuned" to that revolver. However, after another smith worked it over, it is pretty good.

to make it a 454 it will take alot more than a cylinder and if they are pre chambering it that takes out the line boring and if it is just a cylinder blank it's a rip off. You can by the five shot blank from Brownells with the pilot holes for 325.00 but it's the work that comes after to fit it to the gun that costs the bucks.

I do not know your situation but my 2 cents worth is if you are doing a conversion, be very cautious because it takes MUCH MUCH MORE than just the "right parts."

Unless you are really really good with machining and hand fitting TO TIGHT TOLERANCES and have a "knack" for working on handguns (meaning the interior workings that fit together oh so intricately, and not necessarily logically) I suggest you have it done by an experienced gunsmith that has done conversions...

Not trying to take anything away from your abilities, just looking at the whole picture, as in safety when you load that slightly over-loaded super load into your new baby and "touch 'er off."

JMHO

PS: Listen to Rod, he just built me a .475 Linebaugh and it is
BEAUTIFUL.

i is smart enough to know my limitations. i would not attempt this myself. I want to find out what the price includes or if it is just for the cyl, i would assume they line bore them since a jig boring machine would never pay for itself. my best guess is the interpolate them on a milling center.

I am not overly excited about doing a convertion since i have a m83 454 already, just more feeling out the company for future use. the question i posed to them should answer alot of questions about there abilitys.

gregg, why did you bring up a 475 linebaugh. i want one very very badly. LOL. i am fighting between a bfr that i could buy now or another m83 that i would have to wait for to buy.
