Thanks to "magman" I got a sweet deal on a Custom shop T/C SS 375Win. mag-na-ported and duo-rings(plus dies and brass). Took it to the range sat. and with RL-7 and 200gr Sierra's it'll touch holes @ 50yds on the 1st try! Now I gotta wait till next deer season to use it on deer. Here in Ohio it has to be straight-walled and bigger than 357. Everyone wants to borrow my SSK 14" 45/70 to hunt with and I NEEDED another big gun for these Ohio bruiser's. I got a 375JDJ for out of state hunts and this will work out fine switching back and forth between 375's.

I started with 37gr of RL-7. According to article that magman sent with barrel 38gr of RL-7 out of a 14" barrel will move out at almost 2100fps. The one I just got is 15". I'm going to try and use the 200gr Sierra's here in Ohio so I can still make some long shots if needed. I used the 200gr in my 375JDJ on deer in Penna with good results. I'm going to raise the bar on this load to get a little more fps to make this a 200yd deer gun with the 200gr.

The 375 Winchester sounds great. How is the .375 Win w/magnaport for recoil. How does it compare to your .375 JDJ........ TLV

If we keep talking about this 375 Win, maybe I can sell another one that I have. I was looking for a stainless and could not find one. A NIB blued showed up and I bought it. Two dats later, you guessed it, I located a stainless, so I bought that one too. Now I have a barrel to sell. Let's keep talking it up.

Having shot both the 375Win and 375JDJ. I can honestly say the magna-ported 375WIN is very easy to shoot

I shot both the 375Win and my 375JDJ sat. The Win was 15" and mag-na-ported with the rynite T/C grips duo-rings 3x9 Burris and rynite forearm. The JDJ was with 12" full-lenght TSOB w/4-rings 4x Burris, mag-na-ported also with Pacmayer grips and forearm(this is heavier than the 375Win set-up). The JDJ has a more noticable push back in your hands. I was shooting 200gr out of Win. and 225gr out of JDJ with more powder in the JDJ. The Win is a milder barrel to shoot. But their still both alot less than my max 45/70 loads from my ssk 14" barrel.

I loaded up some 220 Horn FN but never shot them. The 200gr Sirra's w RL-7 did so well I just shot them till they were gone. I'm loading up some other loads and will post results later. I have 220's, 225's,235's and 275's and I'll eventually try all of them. But for here in Ohio I'm leaning to the 200gr for longer shots that occur here.

Well, we supposedly have a bonus coming mid March. It's been quoted at everything from $60-$1500. If you still have it we might have to do a bit of talking.
