Has anybody tried the shotshells you can buy for the 44 mag. I thought about buying some and small game hunting with them. Is their any chance that it could couse any damage to the gun? Thanks for any help with this.

I have taken a few rabbits and a squirrel with them in my Ruger super blackhawk. No they will not damage the gun but you will need to do some extra cleaning as the plastic will build up in the rifling. A good brass brush and hoppes no9 will take care of it. Not very effective beyond 20 yards.

IMO 20 yards is double the distance that they are effective. Without a choke you get a meager pattern at best. I limit my 410 'Tender to 25 yards and it is immensely more powerful than the 44 hotshot caps.

I'd try one of the Judge 6" barrel guns, but again without a choke the effective range is limited. The T/C 45/410 is the way to go for a shot pistol.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

X's 2.

It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

magnum reserch.i think someone other than taurus was making a revolver that shoots 410 with a choke tube. for a hunting handgun with shot shell capability there are only 2 choices i know of and taurus is not one of them.

Genesis chapter 1 verse 26

When shooting a single shot their are no warning shots.
