I went to the range this week. I had bought a new Bushnell 2X6 scope for my SBH and wanted to sight it in. When all was said and done, this in the pattern I got at 50 yards from a bench. The rounds are Buffalo Bore 305grn hard cast @ 1325fps.
The pattern is high on the target because I was sighting in with some less expensive 300grn ammo from HSM, (made by Remington I think). When they were sighted in, I dropped in the Buffalo Bore that I actually hunt with to see what they would do. The heavier bullet shot higher, of course, but the patterns were fantastic for me. When I am confident I can do this consistently, I will move out a bit more to a longer distance. But for now, I am fully confident with this rig at 50 yards, and as happy as a dead pig in the sunshine.
